The workshops we offer are supported by an integration of maps and models that we have found useful and
inspiring. There are three main bodies of theory that we have found particularly useful.
Community Building – developed by author M. Scott Peck.
Spiral Dynamics – research by Prof. Clare W Graves
Conscious embodiment drawn from a number sources.
Community Building :
M. Scott Peck in his book ‘The Different Drum’ eloquently exposes the failure of the unbalanced modern ‘ethic’ of ‘rugged individualism’ and how we have become ‘an extra-ordinarily lonely people’. His solution is to re-build community at all levels.
Spiral Dynamics :
Prof. Clare Graves and his ‘Emergent, Cyclical Levels of Existence Theory’ has answered many questions and added new insights as to why we act the way we do. While the subsequent popularisation of his work suffers from two entrenched and contradictory factions, the ongoing work of Christopher Cowan with ‘Spiral Dynamics’ is very valuable.

Conscious Embodiment :
The body and its wisdom are bizarrely neglected in much modern group work to the detriment of all concerned. We have drawn wisdom and strength from a great many sources but we don’t choose to tie our colours to any particular mast – so this page is the best we can suggest on this topic.
